The Charity Inn was situated on THe Street. This pub closed in November 2013, with a planning application to convert it to residential granted in November 2019. Believed to be the only pub in the country with the name, the earliest reference to the pub dates back to 1740. The pub was renamed to the Poacher in the 1990s, but had reverted back to its original name by 2002.
