The Pitt & Nelson was situated at the corner of Market Street and Old Street. Previously known as The Smithies Arms, The Grapes & The White Hart, it dated from 1685.

Derek Gledhill	1982	I was Bar Manager, have fond memories of working there, the other ar staff were, Michelle, Sharon, Linda, Bernadette and Shirley, the two door staff were Phil and Garth. Would be lovely to hear from any of them.
