The Sheffield was situated at 112 Church Street.

This pub is now used as a Chinese restaurant/takeaway.

Built in 1873 as The Welcome Inn, the first publican was John Mashiter. 1869, publican J. Sandham, 1879 publican J Thompson. Remodelled in 1983, it was renamed The Sheffield after the Barrow-built destroyer that was lost during the 1982 Falklands conflict.
