Duke Of Edinburgh

The Duke Of Edinburgh was situated at 3 Crabtree Street. Prior to closure was known as Kate Dalys.

The Duke of Edinburgh was a Matthew Brown pub, just a short walk from Hill Street, the home of Blackburn greyhound and stock car racing track. It was popular with spectators before and after race nights, but must have suffered when the track was closed.

Kenneth Calvert 1950s My grandma and grandad had this pub around the 1950's.They were called "Portnall" I can't remember their first names as I was only young. I can remember walking in every week because my mum and dad worked there every weekend and I remember a full size snooker table on the left, and upstairs a quite large dancehall but not used as far as I know.
