The Infirmary was situated at 197 Bolton Road. This pub closed in the 2010s by which time it was known as The Lockside Tavern.
It spent most of its life as “The Angel”. Strangely it only became the Infirmary after the actual Infirmary across the road closed and moved across town. The pub recently featured on a property show as a developer tried and failed to turn it into a care home.
