A former Wilson's House The Pineapple on the corner of
Johnson Street and Addison Street was described as lively local in the 1986
CAMRA Guide. It is thought to have closed later in the decade and has since
been converted into two houses.

I don’t know the exact year it closed
but by the time I was born in ‘92, it had been bought by my grandfather
Mohammed Sharif. I grew up here with a lot of cousins. I remember the old
bar still existing in the corner and as kids we would frequently crawl under
the red velvet pub seats and burn ourselves on the iron pipes. The cellar is
still in use, mainly for storage.
It isn’t two houses, but one large one and my cousins still live there. |
