I found your site by accident whilst looking for old pictures of Darwen,
where I was born and raised, moving to Blackburn when I married. My Aunty
and Uncle had The Spectator Pub on Bottomgate and they had another pub which
I think was the Rose and Crown, on Copy Nook, they were Emily and George
Aspin. I'm not sure of the dates but I guess it was late sixties to early

here mid to late 1960's. I worked at Foster Yates & Thom on Manner
Sutton St as an apprentice at this time. |
