Uncle Tom's Cabin was situated on Barbara Castle Way next to Thwaites' Brewery.

No memories of the pub - I never went in - but every Christmas Day late 50's early 60's all the family would go to grandma's on Caton St.  After tea all adults, except Grandma and maybe 1 other adult, would go off to Uncle Toms for a couple of hours.  That was in the days that buses ran on Dec 25, so they would always be back before the last bus to Accrington.
