The Stanley Arms was situated on
Church Street. Known latterly as The Blue Room, this pub closed in 2013.
Blackpool FC was founded at a meeting here in 1887. |

was one of the few pubs that
allowed punk rockers access in the early 80s. The landlord often barred
punks now and again, but eventually let them back in. The front of the pub
was traditional old pub and it had a back Room area with some seating in
booths. The room and furnishings were predomintly Blue. When going to meet
it was "see you in the Blue Room". I assume that this was then the source of
the pubs new name post refurbishments, it stuck and not a lot of people no
that |
