The Red Lion was situated at 75 Liverpool Road South.

Planning permission has been refused to allow demolition and build a care home on the site. The building is now in a state of disrepair (see photo below).

New plans have been submitted for planning once again by the current owners for permission to demolish the pub to make way for a Nursing Home, along with a neighbouring property( dwelling ) and small industrial units.
