I was landlady at the Volunteer with my husband Trevor. We had regular
customers who waited outside for opening time every day. We enjoyed
their tales of previous customers and landlords. People would ask if
they could leave a rabbit or fish in the fridge for a friend. Our Sunday
afternoon karaoke was legendary and packed the place out, much to the
disgust of the regulars. |
