The Blue Anchor was situated on Towngate. This
was closed and demolished c1999. There are now houses on the site, called
Anchorsfield. |

I worked at the blue anchor as a chef after gaining F/T employment with
the Matthew Brown Manor houses. At the time, George Tsuchnikas was my
boss. It was a great time working there after leaving Blackburn it was
heaven to me and the villagers of Eccleston were a delight. |
