Cyclists Arms

The Cyclists Arms opened in 1871 on Lytham Road, closing in 1938. The building was one of those destroyed on 23rd August 1944, along with the local primary school and a cafe, when a B-24 Liberator of the USAAF crashed attempting to land at nearby Warton Aerodrome. 61 people died, including 38 children. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freckleton_air_disaster
