In the Mid 70`s we were having a “Lads” day out, we hired a Mini Bus and headed North calling in at The Green Dragon at Galgate on route. At the time this was a Y & J pub but later to be taken over by Daniel Thwaites of Blackburn. So arriving on a Saturday morning at 11:00 the landlord was most surprised to find 20 thirsty lads knocking on the door. On one of the interior walls was a Large picture frame with hundreds of butterflies pinned in a cartwheel formation.
Bill Holt (December 2015)
