The Leyland Tiger was situated at
the corner of Leyland Road & Golden Hill Lane.
This was an extremely popular pub in the late
1960's to late 1980's for coach parties, stag parties, hen do's, strippers
etc, however in late 1980's it closed for refurbishment and opened as the
Hippodrome. This only lasted a couple of years and the pub was
left derelict for several years until eventually demolished c. 2002 and
apartments built on the site.
It was originally built as The Earnshaw Bridge
Inn
c1871.
