I worked at ‘The Spiral’ between 1977 & 1980
during the Univercity holidays alongside my mum June Sweeney. The manager
then was Tony Revel and it had two bars - one on the ground floor and the
other down the spiral staircase. I worked at the top. The main clientelle
were from Littlewoods HO staff and was very busy at lunchtimes for pub grub.
The lady in the kitchen ‘Mary’ worked like a trojan but the oreers were
often mixed up! Think it was Higsons brewery. |
