I was an employee along with Anne, we
worked the bar around 1977, I remember my first night half the men walked me
to the bus stop as it was a little shady after dark, I was under age for
working in a pub and traveled from Aigburth so my parents wouldn’t find out. |

I was an apprentice election working for Winstanley and
Lambert of Park Lane Liverpool. The pub was being updated and there was
a great deal of re wiring undertaken. I recall the public bar and a
small room called "the snug." |
