My Grandparents were Landlord and
Landlady there in the 1940s Samuel and Margaret Parker. My grandfather
passed away in his early 40s leaving Margaret a young widow with three
children. Margaret carried on as a Landlady for another 5 years. My mother
also Margaret helped in the pub when she was in her teens,it was there that
she met my dad who was a young sailor who frequented the pub. |

My parents Chris and may, were the
landlord and landlady of this pub. I was seventeen when we moved in. I
loved living there.it use to be the only pub in Liverpool that had no
windows in the bar.it also had a blocked up tunnel leading towards the
docks plus seven cellars. |
