My mother took several pictures of both
the tavern and of the old brewery building and horse barns when she was
visiting relatives in England in 1985 or 87. The family of my great
grandparents (Kent) apparently owned the tavern etc, but two of the
brothers, Robert and Thomas, sold their interests to two other brothers, and
with the money, came to Canada. The date would have likely been somewhere
around 1880 as they came to Canada in 1881. |
