The Seven Stars was situated on Withy Grove. This pub was licensed in 1356 and was said to be where Guy Fawkes and Robert Catesby stayed in 1605 putting the final touches to the Gunpowder Plot. The pub was demolished in 1911. The Arndale Centre built in 1971 now stands on the site.
