Several of us used to play guitar and sing in this pub for pints in the
1960's when Bill Luff was the landlord. One night a chap who looked vaguely
familiar came in and asked if he could play one of our guitars - he was
brilliant! Not surprising really as he turned out to be John Williams who
was in the area to buy a guitar from the dad of one of our bunch who was a
luthier. |

Like Adrian I was a regular in the
Coach and Horses in the 60's. At closing time Billy Luff(Luffy) used to
shout "Have got no homes to go to?". Just along from the Old Clock Face it
was demolished when the new market was built. |
