The Spinners Arms was situated at 7 Bury Road. This Sam Smiths pub closed on 20th October 1963.

I lived in this pub as a child from about 1955 to about 1958/9 There was another landlord after my father. It was next door to the Pavilion Cinema which was also still open. Lots of the houses from Bury Road down to the town centre were being demolished. The site was used to build Rochdale Town flats.
