The Black Lion was situated
at 65 Chapel Street.
A landmark pub which seemed to have a
bright future when it was leased from Enterprise Inns by Tim Flynn in
October 2009 to be a sister pub to the nearby New Oxford, focusing on real
ale and better-quality continental beers. But customers did not come in
sufficient numbers and the pub closed in July 2010. |
|
This pub reopened in
September 2011 as a cinema, cafe bar and theatre with the same name. |
