The Borough Inn was situated at 386 Regent Road. This pub closed in 1980 and has now been demolished.

I was resident as a 10 year old during the War. The owner of the pub was Louis Hardy, my mother’s uncle. There was great concern that , during air-raids, the local gas-holder might be bombed. Mercifully, it survived!
