The Brickwall Inn was situated on Netherley Road. This was a 1930s roadhouse-style pub that closed in 2011.

Michael Tonge	1950/1955	I used to stay with my uncle and aunt, Hugh and May Armstrong who were the Publicans. Enjoyed great times as a young lad of around 10, with their dog Lassie in the woods across the road.
