The Higher Seven Stars Inn was situated at 87 Bridge Street.

The pub was refurbed in the mid 1980s and renamed Rumours and then again refurbed and renamed 2nd Ave in the ensuing few years. Following my time as licencee it went through a couple more names Mc Cauley’s and Churchill’s 2 , I believe) until the current sadly derelict state.
