The Guardians Inn was situated at 122 Frog Lane.
Certainly the most unpopular public building in the town must have been the workhouse in Frog Lane. Since its demolition, only the nearby public house known as the Guardians Inn stands as a reminder of the Poor Law Guardians and the institution they administered.
