The Black Horse was situated on Main
Street. |

The Black Horse, Grimston, was closed in January 2020 hoping
to convert it to mainly residential use. It was granted an ACV by Melton
Borough Council in April 2020. The Black Horse Community Group has been
attempting to buy the pub, but negotiations have been protracted and it is
only recently that a share issue has got the go-ahead. Along with an
application from the government's Community Ownership Fund, it is hoped the
financing will be available to take over the pub, which dates from 1753 and
get it back to being the successful village hub it used to be. |
