Waterside Inn

The Waterside Inn was situated on Waterside Road. Present by 1791 when the publican was Thomas Walker, it was formerly a coaching inn serving the traffic on the Barton to Hessle ferry crossing. Publican in 1889 was William Moore.

Ronald Atkinson 1947/1951 Lived there with father owner /manager Frederick Reed Atkinson from my age of 17 to 21 when called to RAF. Previous owner / manager Grandfather also named Frederick Reed Atkinson
