The Loggerheads was situated at 5 South Street. The publican in 1896 was D Stephenson, in 1919 Walter Royal.
This was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949. This pub closed on 1st April 1960 and was demolished to make way for road widening.
