Royal Oak

The Royal Oak (on the right of the above photo) was situated at 67 High Street, Boston. Built sometime before 1784 it was demolished in the 1960's to make way for the Haven Bridge Road. Owned by the Miskin family during the early part of the 20th century, who also owned the Old Crown, Doncaster and the Horse & Jockey, Gainsborough.

This was a Soames Brewery pub from 1922 to 1949, when it was sold to Steward & Patteson. Closed on the 30th April 1958 and subsequently demolished.
