Union Inn

The Union Inn was situated on Leagate Road.
Probably the most character filled, reasonably priced and eventful pub in Lincolnshire. To describe the Union is difficult but I will try to give it a shot so here goes. Bunkers Hill is only a tiny hamlet (just 4 street lights when I lived there) and a few houses, we had one shop and a pub. Now the pub was home to anyone from the surrounding area, people travelled from Connigsby and surrounding areas, from the local military basses and most weekends saw any type of convention. The Bulldog Bikers Bash was held at the pub, a go cart event and a car boot sale; music was a regular and the beer was of excellent price. It was one of those places that lived by its own laws and you could literally feel at home the moment you opened the door, you even had your own jug behind the bar if you asked and everyone knew everyone. Owen, Cliff, Pup, Steve, Margret, Boyce, Steve, Gerald (one of those was the Landlord but you wouldn’t have guessed because the he did such a good job of making you feel included). Their was also a old Sailor called Bob a well love WW2 Veteran and he made the place.
