The Boat Inn was situated on Queens
Bank. This pub was demolished c1961 to make way for road improvements. One
of the medieval boundary crosses of Crowland Abbey, St Guthlac's Cross, was
said to have found its way to the garden of the pub and was relocated a
short distance to its present site at the Brotherhouse Bar road junction
when the pub was demolished. |
