The Halfway House was situated at
Littleworth Drove. It was acquired by the Soames
Brewery in 1910. Initially leased out, however bought in 1913 and sold to Steward & Patteson
in 1949. This pub closed on 24th February 1960 and is now used as a private
residence. |

Present by the1851 census, when the
landlord was 58 year-old Edward Horton, described as a farmer of 8 acres and
a publican. |
