The Friendship was situated at 60 Church Street.
The original pub was present by 1828 when the publican was John Nettleship.
It was demolished and rebuilt in 1927. The first publican in
the new building was Fredrick Leaning, followed by this nephew Charles Bell. It
closed c2000 with planning permission give to convert into flats, however
this work has not been completed. |
