The Bell was situated at 83 High
Street. |

I lived in gosberton in the early 1950,s my dad
worked in gosberton we lived at a big house on the left of road going to
Donnington called homeleigh next to his work. my dad was a regular at the
bell inn I called in about 1998 what lovely old pub. it was Sunday lunchtime
the landlady came in the bar with lots of food left over from the restaurant
upstairs. meat veg a big jug of hot gravy plates etc. Help yourselves all
free, a man at the bar could recall my dad ask how is bert, my dad was
Herbert Fairbanks, he died in 1967. sorry it has closed I think there was a
fish and chip shop down the street at the side |
