Six Bells

 


 

The Six Bells was one of ten pubs auctioned off by the Smith family of Gosberton in 1951. According to the Lincolnshire Standard of 1 December 1951, "Bidding started before a crowd of 100 at £12,000 . . . at £40,000 the properties were knocked down to Mr Sidney Motion of Sidney H & Graham Motion, on behalf of Messrs Morgan brewers of Norwich".
