My mum and dad ran the pub, we came from Leicester, I was
a small boy. It was the only pub with a lift. It was behind the front
bar, I know because i fell down it once. I also remember a piano being
in the main bar. As children we used to venture through the cellar where
we discovered tunnels. It's argued they were nothing more than wine
areas, I can honestly say we went a long way into them before it was
blocked off. |
