The pub was still open in May 1969
as my wife and I held our wedding reception there. The landlord at that
time was our brother in law and his wife, Brian and Margaret Smith. They
lived directly opposite the village church for many years, Sadly both
have passed away. Brian was your typical village landlord who enjoyed
long walks and breeding pheasants for one of the local landowners. |
