The Crown & Anchor was situated on Silver Street.
In the early 1800's On Race Days there was cock-fighting on a regular basis
at the Crown & Anchor. Joseph Dabb was the landlord between 1824 - 1842, and
again 1851 - 1861. In 1871 The landlord was J. Whitworth. |
