The Black Horse was situated on Main Street. This was a grade-II listed pub.
 

 
Listed building details:
Inn. C17, altered early C19. Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, Collyweston slate roof with raised stone gables, 2 brick wall stacks and 2 stone ridge stacks, all with moulded tops. 2 storey, 5 bay front, the end bays advanced and separately gabled. Central panelled door flanked by single 3 light casements with beyond single rectangular bay windows with 4 centred arched panelled bases and hipped slate roofs. To first floor a central 4 centred arched niche contains a statue of a black horse and is flanked by single 2 light glazing bar casements in 4 centred arched surrounds and beyond are 3 light casements. All 3 light windows have hood moulds.
