The Golden Ball was situated on Main Road. This pub was previously known as The Sportsmans Arms and is now used as a residential property. The publican in 1919 was Edward Bloom.
This was was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949 and was closed on 3rd February 1967. It subsequently reopened and finally closed in 2007.
