The Langton Arms was situated on Smithy Lane. This grade-II listed pub is now used as a private residence. Previously known as The Fir Tree.
 
Listed building details:
Inn now cottage. Early C19. Whitewashed red brick. Hipped pantile roof with overhanging eaves. Single ridge red brick stack. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Doorway with panelled door, to the right are 2 glazing bar sashes, all ground floor openings under segmental arches. Above are 2 similar sashes'with single Yorkshire sash to the left, all under flat arches. Attached to the left is a whitewashed brick and pantile single storey plus garret, single bay wing with external left red brick gable stack and single segmental arched glazing bar sash. 2 circular tie plates.
