City Arms
The City Arms was situated at 23 The
Strait. This pub was present by 1843 and closed in 1954. It was bought by
the City Council and demolished with housing built in its place. Its site is
the most southerly house in Neustadt Court. |
The publican in the early 1890s was George
Wilkinson. George was in court for assaulting a customer; case dismissed
with George being told to be more careful with his stick in future. |
