When being sold  in 1883 to the Retford & Worksop Brewery Company for £2000,  it was described as 'having a brew house and spacious yard, the whole occupying an area of 982 sq yards and producing a rental of £106 a year'.  It closed in 1916 and was subsequently demolished.
