The Hare & Hounds was situated at 339 High Street. This pub was built in 1790. Renamed Blandings in 1982, it closed in 2007 and is now used as a Chinese restaurant.

On 22nd March 1852, James Sutton, porter was accused at Lincoln Quarter Sessions of stealing a half pint metal pot from James Smith of the Hare & Hounds.
