The Hope & Anchor was situated at 54 Waterside South. This pub was present by 1843 and closed in 1918. It has now been demolished with the site occupied by Siemans.

From the archives:
On 11th September 1862 Thomas Stennett, was accused at Lincoln Quarter Sessions of uttering three counterfeit half crowns at the Lock Tavern and Hope & Anchor.
