The Swan & Salmon was situated at 6 Corporation Lane. This pub was present by 1839 and closed in the 1880s. It was one of a few pubs cited by the Linconshire Chronicle in 1855 as being a haven for the sale of stoen goods. Now demolished, the site is within the Waterside Shopping Centre.

1867: Prosecutor: Patrick Coakley of Greetwell, labourer. Was staying at an Irish lodging house near the Adam and Eve. Witnesses: Mary Ann Wilson of 6 Corporation Street, singlewoman, daughter of the landlord of the Swan and Salmon beerhouse, Saltergate; John Mitchell of 34 St Hugh's Street, police constable. Accused: George Christmas. Lodged at the Swan and Salmon and lives with Bridget Roctagan. Crime: stealing money worth £3 10s in the parish of St Swithin, Lincoln.
