The Prince Of Wales was situated at 6
West Street. This pub has now been demolished with a TSB Bank built on the
site. Between 1941-1947 my grandfather Joseph Robey was the landlord and
hosted the first Jewish wedding in the area of my mother, his daughter, Faye
Levis(nee Robey) and Samuel Levis, my father, on May 8th 1947. |
