my ancestors. He disappeared without trace sometime after on a day trip to
Boston! |

My Great-Grandfather, John Clark b. 1830 left school at 13. His first job,
circa 1843, was as Boot Boy, wage £1.00 per Year. (!), at the Duke's Head.
The innkeeper was one John Holmes. |
